AWI/AMI CELEBRATES 20 YEARS SERVING THE AVIATION INDUSTRY
Aerospace Welding, Inc. Minneapolis, Inc. (AWI) and sister company Aerospace Manufacturing, Inc. (AMI), a leader in Aircraft Engine Mounts, Exhaust and component manufacturing celebrates 20 years of providing service to the aviation and aerospace industries.
Company President Tom Heid reflects on the humble beginnings from when the company started to where the company is now.
“AWI – AMI started in a shop no larger than most garages, and with its continued growth we are currently in our modern 35,000 square foot facility in Eagan, MN. We are proud that our facility can house both our repair station AWI (CRS#DR792L/EASA.145.6155) and AMI our manufacturing company. AMI is both (AS9100 Rev. C) and ( ISO 9001:2008) certified and Nadcap accredited for welding. This has all been accomplished through a tremendous amount of effort and teamwork by our dedicated employees and customers.”

Aerospace Manufacturing, Inc. Receives AS9100 Certification
Eagan, MN – Aerospace Manufacturing, Inc., a premier producer of high quality metal aircraft and aerospace components, announces successful AS9100 and ISO certification.

AS9100 is a rigorous and widely adopted and standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry. AS9100 replaces the earlier AS9000 and fully incorporates the entirety of the current version of ISO 9000, while adding additional requirements relating to quality and safety. Major aerospace manufacturers and suppliers worldwide require compliance and/or registration to AS9100 as a condition of doing business with them.
